S.K.Twiselton was born in Coventry in 1957. He began composing when he was 16 years of age. He was educated at the Coventry School of Music and then at the Royal College of music where he studied under Alan Ridout. After leaving the RCM he spent many years as a teacher in a Dorset preparatory school whilst continuing to compose. In December 1999 he became a freelance composer and musician. He presently combines composition with work as a choral conductor, accompanist, theatre MD and piano teacher.
